- Pray that God will show Himself to a girl in Elly's gym class and He will change her heart!
- Please pray for a Chinese family who is under a lot of pressure. Thanks! -Loice
-I have a couple prayer requests: My great Aunt has been fighting breast cancer for many many years. No she has a awful cough and has a hard time keeping food down. She weighs only 100 pounds.
Our dear friend is having sever depression. She is a Christian and has been struggling with the depression for some time now. She does not have many friends. -Mikayla
-Pray for Natalie G.'s baby brother. He is now out of the hospital but he has a few types of sicknesses. Right now the flu is going around so pray that neither Henry or her mom(who is pregnant) will get the flu.
-Hey dears! Please be praying for my family right now. Early in the morning on January 8th my Grandma went home to be with the Lord. She isn't suffering any longer but it is still hard for all of us who are left behind

--New Years Resolutions--
- To try new foods!!!(I'm a picky eater!) -Natalie G.
So this isn't really a New Year's Resolution but it is something I'm going to be doing throughout 2013! I'm gonna get a mason jar and throughout the year write down good things that happen to me and put them in the jar. Then when New Year's Eve comes around next year I'm going to read them and remember all the good things! :D -
I'm gonna write 1,000 things down that I'm grateful for which will require about 3 things per day :)))
and guess what!!! I made it I read my bible through in a year :))) -Sarah Kae
One of my New Year's Resolutions is to do no TV for a month as well as no sweets. With my family we are doing the 1 year audio bible =) -Mikayla M.
I don't really do New Year's Resolutions, but I do have a verse I would like to share that we can all look upon as we go through the year.....Hebrews 12:11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby....This is verse that we can think about in 2013 when we are making decisions big or small. Although we may be happy right now think about it,"will it make me happy in the long run?" -Ruth Ann
A Crown of Beauty
Something that I see so many girls struggle with is the issue of not feeling important. Or not feeling good enough. A long time ago I struggled with that myself. I didn't get too obsessive about it, and it didn't show that I was struggling with it on the outside. But on the inside there was this constant battle of me not feeling good enough and something inside of me telling me that I was good enough.
These days there are magazines staring at us in the face when we go to the grocery store. They are blaring the message that we need to look exactly like those girls who starve themselves just to look good in a photo shoot. Sometimes we get so caught up in what the world is telling us we should look like that we forget to focus on being the young woman that God wants us to be. We get distracted by looking perfect all the time and trying to get thin. You wanna know something though? You are beautiful. You are a wonderful creation created by a perfect God who NEVER messes up. Isaiah 62:3 says"You shall be a crown of beauty in the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the hand of your God." Did you just read that right? Well I don't think you did. Go read it again. Look at the bold words. A crown of beauty. A royal diadem. That is what you are to God. You are beautiful. And if you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior you are royalty! You are a daughter of the most High King! So dear girls, don't forget that you are important to God! He loves you so much. He has done so much for you.
Next you must remember that God doesn't make junk. He creates everything perfect! Nothing that He creates is worthless. Genesis 1:31- "And God saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good." Once you realize that you are beautiful royalty and that you are a beautiful creation nobody can tell you otherwise. It doesn't matter what other people say about you, if you know that you are a beautiful child of God that is all that matters.
Dear girls don't forget where true beauty comes from. You may look great on the outside, but if your heart is stained with sin it's going to show through. Let God make you beautiful from the inside out. In Proverbs 31:30 it says "Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain: but a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised."
